Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Redmi Note 6 Pro: Worth upgrading
Xiaomi is likely to launch the new Redmi Note 6 Pro in China tomorrow on 6th October. As the smartphone has already been launched in Thailand as the Redmi Note 6 Pro, the specifications of the phone are already known but its price in China has not been revealed yet.
Xiaomi will be hosting a launch event in China on November 6 and it is expected to launch the new Redmi Note 6 Pro with the notched display. If we compare the Redmi Note 6 Pro with the predecessor Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi hasn’t really upgraded a lot with the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a notch and there will be a dual camera setup on the front, instead of single.
5 Reasons Why the Redmi Note 6 Pro is a Worthy Upgrade to the Redmi Note 5 Pro
The device sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS display making it slightly bigger than the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The 2.5D curved glass offers a QHD+ resolution and has a 19:9 aspect ratio. The increase in screen size has further enhanced the importance of displays and it ensures ease of operability.
Even though the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor like its predecessor, it gives higher performance. Moreover, the SD 636 is considered one of the most powerful chipsets in Qualcomm’s 600-series. That makes Redmi Note 6 Pro a powerful beast.
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 holds a dual camera setup on the rear, includes a 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, dual pixel technology, EIS and a secondary 5-megapixel camera. Up front, there will be a 20-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and a secondary 2-megapixel camera. So, this will the Xiaomi’s first Redmi series smartphone to feature quad cameras.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is backed up by a massive 4000mAh battery. The predecessor Redmi Note 5 Pro also packs a 4,000mAh battery. The 4000mAh battery is still enough for heavy usage and it will easily last for a day.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with an AI-powered Smart Beauty editing tools, which enables users to adjust facial tones or erase scars and also add filters like funny masks. The AI-powered features include AI face unlock, AI dynamic bokeh mode, AI portrait selfie mode, and lot more.
Top 5 Features of OnePlus 6T
OnePlus 6T is upgrading their line up once again with OnePlus 6T. Every time this happens OnePlus brings something new and innovative to the table, unlike other smartphone companies. So, what are the new features of OnePlus 6T? Let’s take a look.
Top 5 Features of OnePlus 6T
In-display Fingerprint Scanner
OnePlus features an in-display fingerprint scanner. We’ve already seen in-display fingerprint sensors on other smartphones this year including Vivo X21, Vivo Nex and Vivo V11 Pro. But the company claims that it is the fastest-performing implementation of in-display fingerprint authentication yet. The in-display fingerprint scanner is easy to use, you just press your finger onto the screen and it magically unlocks in less than a second.
The OnePlus 6T comes with a waterdrop notch we first saw the waterdrop style notch on the Essential Phone. Recently launched mid-range killer RealMe 2 Pro also sports similar notch. OnePlus 6T features a 6.4-inch AMOLED waterdrop notch display with 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The slimmer size surely helps to increase the available screen space and free up more of the status bar.
OnePlus 6 offers up a 3,300 mAh battery, while the new 6T is upgraded to the massive 3,700 mAh battery, which is 400 mAh bigger than the OnePlus 6 battery. Moreover, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei mentioned in an interview that the removal of the headphone jack will help the company improve battery life.
No Headphone Jack
The OnePlus 6 is one of the best Android flagship phones with a headphone jack, but OnePlus ditches the headphone jack from the OnePlus 6T so we’re forced to buy the company’s proprietary Bullets Wireless. However, the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter will be included in the box, and the Bullets V2 wired headphones will have a USB-C connector.
The OnePlus 6T will ship with Google’s Android Pie OS out of the box and the OxygenOS skin on top. This flagship smartphone is likely to get two more years of major software updates from Google. There is also the newest security patch.
